In all the manuals even for tiny small things it inscribes in the end to refer to the dealer, how on earth they can give you solution how to programme a duplicate key, when this is a common source of big earning. Every car has got a different technique to work on. Try eBay so many people selling blank keys, transponders, used keys for different cars yet no body is offering guarantee that this should work. Dealer’s price range between £100 to £200. Locksmiths charge almost same. As replied by someone above, with a bit of luck you could programme it, keep on trying but my advice is do not waste too much as I have done so in the past.

I had to do this with my Focus, if you have the manual it should tell you how to do it, if not search forums on Yahoo. What I had to do was put it in the door turn it 3 times to the right, once left to unlock and right again to lock it, then by some sort of mirlcle i guess (or technology haha) it programs it self

Some chips are reprogrammable, most are not. Some chips can be replaced. By the time you order a key from ebay, get it cut, replace the chip and get it programmed, you could have gotten a locksmith to cut and program a key and saved money.

im pretty sure there is a way on some cars to reprogram the chip. but some cars its real easy, and others you need to be a rocket scientist to do it. check a dealer
