I have a 92 Accord and the power locks don’t work? The lock on the driver side doesn’t even work manually from the inside only if you turn the key from the outside. The power button doesn’t work for either side but when you press the power button on the driver side the passenger side lock makes a grinding noise like a electric pencil sharpener. Anyone know how to fix this.

I do as a matter of fact. I would start by pulling the door panels off and using my knowledge to diag the problem. Then I would get the proper parts and replace them and re-test. Great question!

You definitely need new power lock motor – the sound you are hearing is the gears that are worn out. These are not expensive at all, less than $100 . Check Auto Zone and Ebay for that part. If you are handy with tools you can replace it yourself.
