No, the dealer can cut a key from the VIN, using a tool that resembles one of those Dymo label makers. I lost a key for an International truck (Chrysler key blank) once, and I went to the dealer and watched them do it.

No im pretty sure you can call a locksmith and they can come out and at least help u try to find a key that would help get a new car key

the passenger side door has a key code in the door. the code is too make a blank.(at least American cars do) So call a locksmith too take care of it. it is going to cost alot extra, but it going to be cheaper than getting everything re-keyed. When you get copies get three (one to use, one to lose, and give one to a friend(have it accessible to you and a friend just in case)).
