it really depends what kind of car it is?if the car has a factory alarm,security chip in the key?if it has a chip in the key it easyly cost over 200.00,if theres no chip in key under 100.00,
if the car is registerd to you the somtimes dealer can cut you a key registerd to your vin

Depends on the car. A modern coded key can cost you somewhere North of $150!

I had a Hyundai Getz and Iost one of the keys and the Hyundai main agent quoted me 90 Euros for a replacement, so look after those keys.



A dealer can usually cut a new key from the Vin number and you have to show proof of ownership like a title or registration…cheaper than re-keying which can run hundreds.
