About How Much Will An Emergency Locksmith Cost?

I’m locked inside my apartment (I’ve unocked the door but the knob still won’ turn) and the only thing I can think to do is call an emergency locksmith. But does anyone know about how much this can cost?

If you rent your apartment it is the responsibility of the property. There should be a number to contact them during after hours. This would be an emergency. If you cannot get them and you may have to prove that you tried, then call a locksmith. Save the receipt and make them pay for it. Good luck…

Depending on where you live, anywhere from 80-100 dollars for an after hours service call. It sounds like your locking mech has malfunctioned. Tell the locksmith you need a new handle also. Caution: Make sure that the package is sealed with only two keys. Good luck.

The locksmith might cost you around $35-$50. If you are renting, can you call your property mngt. company’s after hours number and tell them that the lock/knob is broken so they can come fix it free? Or let them know what happened in the morning and see if they will pay you back for the locksmith.
I’m a maintenance guy for a property mngt. company and had a tenant get locked in their place also. I had to take the lock apart and replace that night and then had it keyed like the old lock the next morning.
Good luck,
Chris

Do you have AAA? Call them it’s free.
