I has it professionally installed but I didn’t have an extra key so they told me to come back with it. The problem is I am working so much that I can’t make it before Christmas. It seems like it would be an easy job but who knows.

get the key that has the correct code but do not have it cut then just leave it in the ignition, can’t be turned but satisfies the anti-theft. It will start with the remote fine.
