or I can bring it to the dealer they will charge 100 dollars to progam it. can I just bring the key to a locksmith and have it cut, then bring the key to the dealer and tell them its the original and it just stopped working (act dumb) or will they know I would be lying?

I lost my key and have no spare. I have the other part of the key that unlocks the car but dont actually have the key. Can a locksmith make the key? What would be the best thing to do?

Someone drilled the car door locks out of my ford ranger and I can’t get into my truck. I was wondering how much it would cost and who I should have install new car door locks? Do I go to an auto body shop? The dealership? I have no idea who to go to and how much this is gonna be.
