Is it possible to become a certified locksmith and work as one for a summer job for a 16 year old?

I had about 75 smaller strands, but with my hair being so straight, it just wasn’t working – so I grouped them together to make about 35 larger locks. If I rubber banded them, how long should I leave the bands in?
And thanks – but I don’t need any personal opinions about locks looking bad or uneducated people telling me they are unsanitary.
