OK, so I own a Rover 216 SLi 1997. Just wondering if there’s a way to unlock/lock the car without relying on a transponder key. Surely there must be, because why put a lock on a door if you can’t even unlock it?? At this moment I’m only able to unlock/lock the car using the transponder so was hoping there was a way around this. Cheers =)

Suppose you want to lock the folder MMS in C: which has the path

C:mms .In the same drive create a text file and type

ren mms mms.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

Now save this text file as lock.bat

Create another text file and type in it

ren mms.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} mms

Now save this text file as unlock.bat

Now you can see 2 batch files lock and unlock. Press lock and the folder

games will change to control panel and you cannot view its contents. Press

unlock and you will get back your original folder.

try it out!!!!!!!

I have a vertical, 4 drawer, metal file cabinet. The kind you often see in offices. It did not come with a lock–but I want to add a lock for at least one drawer. Is there a way to do this? I would prefer to avoid hiring a locksmith.

I have to lock my laundry room with a simple twist on one side and key on the other because it is both a bathroom and a laundry room. It is so guests can have some privacy. Well my husband locked it and the key is inside shut the door and walked away. I can’t afford a locksmith right now and need to get in there to do laundry. How can I open it myself. I’ve been trying to open it with a house key and hammering it into the door, but no luck should i try a differnt key? or is there another way? Please help.

Is there something I can use which does not require a lot of hole drilling? I really don’t need the lock for optimum security, just enough to keep nosey roommates at bay. They wouldn’t go so far as to bypass a lock. Most likely I’ll just use it for the closet doors where I’ll keep personal papers etc. The lock will be for folding closet doors that open out, or a regular closet door that you pushes close with a turn knob. Thanks.

I’ve had my dreads for over 5 years and now want to cut them but I don’t want to cut all of my hair. I’ve heard that there is a product that can be used to “untangle” your locks so that you don’t have to cut all of your hair off. Has anyone else heard of such a product and if so what is called?

Everything is right on your way in the blink of an eye with the click of a mouse. Amid this stupendous swiftness and modern gadget system would you still like to carry the conventional lock and key system? You have changed your profile; also change your outlook then. Grab on time and introduce the latest innovations to shape your lifestyle. Keyless remote holds a part of this change.

Keyless remotes for your car

Keyless remotes have introduced a new dimension in the automobile world. With its help you no more need to come near a car, push the key and then open the car lock. From a distance you can operate the whole thing if the signaling criterion is perfectly matched.

The locking and the unlocking systems are not manual. Keyless remotes are actually remote controls working through signals as involved in radio frequency. You are aware of the functioning of a TV remote control. How the pulse is sent that induces the generation of signals and via radio frequency the channel surfing is done. In case of keyless remotes the same thing happens. The difference is that it is not changing of the TV channels but opening and locking of your car.

Key processes involved

The modus operandi of a keyless remote is basically depended on two systems. One among them is the remote keyless entry system. This is the conventional mode of operation of a keyless remote. The remote is sending the pulse from a distance but that has to be within the signaling area to catch with the tower. Of course here it is the car or the vehicle and the pulse should hit with the right frequency to open the car door lock.

There is another system called remote keyless ignition system working to operate the keyless remote. It also depends on the pulse sending and signal receiving technique but this one is better in terms of security. How? In remote keyless ignition system the pulse is a message sent to the vehicle and the message has to be deciphered to process further. A trick is played over here. Who is more efficient, man or car? Therefore man only creates a secret path or code in the locking system and the unlocking is only possible with the same individual’s effort.

As in your laptop, you can keep everything under the security of a password, similarly in cars keyless remotes are designed considering the safety and security measures. Forget about the conventional lock and key and begin a brand new journey on car with a keyless remote.

I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota. I want to get a keyless entry system for it, but I have manual locks. Can I do a swap for power locks without having to get new doors? Same thing for the windows. (I have to roll them down manually) Any help would be great. Thanks
